OK… They (Erasure) was alright singing the song, but I had to turn off the video. They looked just a little too creepy. It was like watching a video combining elements of "Right Said Fred" and "Vanilla Ice."

Yep… one and the same. When they first came out, they used the name “ABBA Teens”. They were contacted and gently scolded into changing the name. Thus was born A* Teens.

Are the Abba Teens the same group call A*teens from the late 90's who redid Dancing Queen? I'm guessing no? The cover (Abba Teens) one you linked too isn't bad at all.

Here is the live version of Erasure doing Take a Chance (circa 1991) – they really put their synthpop twist on it. (tho the studio version much better)

Not sure about Erasure... but I love the covers that the "ABBATeens" did for the various ABBA songs. They were spot on in regard to the spirit of the music and the mood. Most of the time I abhor covers, but there are those rare exceptions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGkBxHMxCZg

Now, this may go against all thing true to Abba, but what do you think about the covers of their songs. Specifically, the Erasure "Abbaesque" EP from the early 90s?
