Firstly, it was your time to waste, not mine. I did not force you to read the entire thing, sweetheart.

Secondly, You will notice that I am not deleting your post, because I do, unfortunately, encourage people to speak their mind. I delete only that which is a direct attach for attack's sake.

Third, and lastly, I did not disrespect what he accomplished, only what he had become in the end. It is hard to dispute that he went a little flaky later in his life. Call it the drugs, call it the inability to deal with success, whatever.

As an aside, I find it humorous that you come here and complain, yet you are not brave enough to give your real information soas to have a real dialogue.

I'm old enough to remember thriller being on MTV every hour when it first came out but then he faded out of my memory.

He was a great performer, and I'll go even after 1990, because when he put on a show he went all out. No one should take that away from him. I guess I'm separating the man from the entertainer some what here.

From all that I can tell (from the press) everyone in the family saw this coming but no one did anything. I would also agree that they are looking at the event as a way to reclaim some former glory that once was theirs.

More than likely, like I touched on in the article, this is going to be a generational argument. I am not sure what your age is, but I include the fact that he was a great performer up until about 1990. Then he started the downward spiral.

You can also tell that his family did not care that much for him because of the way they are acting about the death. Hell, they are looking at it as some form of free advertising.

First... thank you for saying what I've been thinking/feeling. I just didn't know exactly how to put it. Our bodies are machines. Like the car window that gets stuck because you didn't take care of the vehicle, the human body will respond the same way.

"his success does overshadow his flakiness"

I have a hard time with this one. I look at it from all angles, and while I wasn't a fan of his - just didn't like his music - to me Jackson will always be the guy I saw from 93 on acting in a weird manner. I just can't get past it.

Yes, he was a talent but, for me, the talent took second place to the odd behavior. I just can't get past it.
